SAL Website Services

Dear fellow Slidell Art League (SAL) Members,My name is Andre Rosselot and this is a follow-up to the last meeting on August 13, 2013, where I gave a demonstration of the new SAL website www.SlidellArtLeague.com I developed for the league and the affiliated SAL personal Members websites.   Below I will talk more about the personal Members websites, in other words “your website.”

Your personal Members website will have the same look and feel as the main SAL website, but the contents (Gallery, Events, Comments, Blogs, Contact info, etc.) will be all yours.  In regards to your personal Members website, think of the main SAL website and SAL Facebook page as a focal point to attract eyes to your works of art on your own website. The way it works is SAL website visitors can go to the Artist Gallery Page and see a photo and caption for each participating member.  When visitors click on your photo it will bring them to your personal Members website.

To get an idea of what your website would look like, check out my Members website at www.andrerosselot.wordpress.com/  or select the Blue Bird photo from the Artist Gallery page.   Once you are on my website you can use the menu on the left side of the page to navigate to my Gallery, Events, About, etc.

Now let’s talk about building your website.  Following the SAL guidelines, I will develop your website to make it work for you.  Once your website is up and running I will continue to maintain it.  That means maintaining SAL website standards across all websitesand if you need help uploading photos of your works of art, creating multiple galleries, creating categories for your works of art, changing content or events, etc. I will be there to help.  My wife, for the last 31 years, and I are happily retired and we love it here in Slidell.  So just in case you were wondering, we are not planning to go anywhere.

Now for the financial nuts and bolts, by having your own Members website you will also be supporting the new Slidell Art League’s website by deferring the cost to the League.  The cost for your personal Members website is $10.00 per month or $110 per year.  There is an initial personal website setup fee of $30.00.  I am using Paypal.com for all recurring payments.  I’ve been using it for many years now and I have been a happy customer. It is painless and easy to setup.  If you don’t already have an account with Paypal I can help you set it up.

If you are interested in having your own Members website and in doing so support the Slidell Art League website please see my contact information below.  I will be happy to answer your questions.
